Any price quoted to you, E&OE, is based on the information you give us regarding your kitchen
layout and dimensions. Please note that inaccuracies in or changes to this information will
necessitate a review of the quotation and may incur additional costs.

As we are providing a Full Fit service, including templating, we will manufacture and fit based on our

5 Delivery, Delays To Fitting And Wasted Journeys
The Supply & Deliver service is to your front door and not into your kitchen unless stated in the body
of the quote.

For Supply & Deliver and Full Fit services, we cannot be held responsible for unforeseen delays in
delivery. In the unlikely event of delays exceeding a day, we will rearrange a delivery date at a
mutually convenient time. We cannot accept liability for any loss incurred due to delays.

If we are forced to make an extra journey because no one is available to receive us at the property,
we reserve the right to charge for additional costs. Similarly, if we come to template having been
told that the kitchen is ready (as per our Template Readiness Checklist) and it is not in fact ready
there will be an additional charge of £180 for the wasted journey. The same applies if units are
moved after templating, invalidating the template and necessitating a second template visit.

6 Surface consistency and colour/pattern variation
Commercial Granite is a natural material and we are therefore unable to guarantee its colour or
pattern. Natural variations are intrinsic to the stone’s character and are part of its beauty; they
should not be seen as a fault. The surface will frequently show some crazing and pitting in certain
lights due to the crystalline structure of the stone. Engineered stone (quartz) is subject to minor
batch variation in the same way as paints and textiles.

The differences between batches

1 Changes in raw materials

Although up to 93% of what is referred to be quartz may be pulverised rock straight from the quarry,
we need to keep in mind that we are accustomed to thinking of quartz as a "man-made" product.
Quartzite used to make engineered stone can change in colour tone, much as how granites change
as quarry workers work through the rock. It is not surprising that variances can be detected in the
final mixture given how much of it is used in the product.

2 Man-made created content

The 7% of dyes in the batch gives it its colour. It is not difficult to conceive that they are fairly potent;
little inaccuracies in the quantity of colourants can result in noticeable changes in slab colour.

3 Cleaning errors in production

There isn't a quartz plant or production line that exclusively produces one thing. an exchange of
batches. In a perfect world, the equipment would be thoroughly cleaned between batches. We
believe that under pressure, this doesn't always go as planned. Variation will occur if even a small
amount of the mix from one product is added to the initial batch of the next product.B Variations between
batches and even between slabs

4 mistakes in the mixing

We believe some batches are not combined as thoroughly as they should be. Color differences
across the slab in goods where no such variation is intended or to be expected serve as evidence of
this.

All slabs are subject to strict control by the reputable suppliers; each slab we receive is given a
unique number along with a batch number and manufacturing date. Some manufacturers don't do
this, and we assume that slabs from various batches occasionally get packaged together without any
documentation to supervise or document the procedure.

C Long-term fluctuations

6 modifications to the recipe, mix, or design

As a quarry is used, the raw material's gradual change in colour tone might result in consistent, long
lasting changes to a given product's look. When a quartz changes appearance, sometimes even
rather sharply, there might be something else going on.

We have observed noticeable differences in appearance between the initial samples and slabs and
the continued production that comes through a few weeks or months later at least twice, both times
from one of the largest names in engineered stone / quartz worktops. We are aware that several
items have been introduced, only to later be changed.

7 Worktops and kitchen units

Please note that it is essential that the kitchen or bathroom units are structurally sound and capable
of supporting the weight of the worktops. We will not be liable for failure of carcasses to support
the weight of the worktops, nor for joint breakdown or dropping of worktops where carcass
movement is the cause. Granite or Quartz Worktops cannot be used as structural elements to
reinforce the integrity of the supporting units.
